Requests for publication data on Peter Porter's books, and letter, 1985 June 15.

The collection contains three requests for publication data on three of Peter Porter's books published by Scorpion Press. The requests were made by Bernard Stone. The forms include data such as publication date, number of copies printed, binding information, pricing, etc. The data is given for three books: Once bitten, twice bitten, published in 1961; Poems, ancient & modern, published in 1964; and A Porter folio, published in 1969. A typescript letter accompanies the request form for Poems ancient & modern, dated 15 June 1985, signed by an editor at Scorpion Press [signature illegible], and apologizing for a lack of bibliographical details for Porter's later books, especially information on a Canadian edition of Poems, ancient & modern. The letter also notes that Mr. [John R.] Kaiser asked that these forms be returned to Stone. The letter also has a handwritten note by Stone to John [Kaiser] that he will ask Jack Hobbs. The note has an arrow drawn to underlined text concerning Jack Hobbs' negotiations with Walker's (a Canadian publishing firm). The forms are undated, but appear to have been sent with the aforementioned letter.
